Welcome to the web site for my new excursion into railway modelling and details about my new layout called Forncett station.
Many years ago I lived in
a small village a few mile south of Norwich in Norfolk, called
Forncett St Peter. On some of our trips into the surrounding
countryside we frequently drove over an old railway bridge. The line
under it once lead to the defunct Forncett station. The peculiar
thing about this bridge was that on one side there was just a field,
but, on the other a railway cutting. It is obvious that when
the line became discontinued the farmer filled in the cutting, not
all that apparent from the ground though. A short distance away, on
the field side was an old viaduct over the River Tas. |
